Spicy Tofu and Cashew stir fry with Broccoli

Tofu stir fryThis is a delicious dish of stir fried tofu and broccoli, which contain cancer fighting properties. Japanese and Thai women have a much lower incidence of breast cancer, this appears to be due to their regular consumption of soya-based foods rich in phyto-oestrogens and isoflavones, which contain genistein which has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. Broccoli and garlic also contain substances which are protective against breast cancer.


      • Sesame oil
      • 2 cloves of garlic chopped
      • 1 inch of ginger chopped
      • 2 small red chillies chopped
      • Chopped coriander
      • 50g unsalted cahshews
      • Organic marinated tofu
      • Broccoli
      • whole grain rice, enough for 2 people
      • 1 jar of Spicy peanut satay sauce or teriyaki works well too!


    1. Heat a pan of water and bring to the boil
    2. Cook brown rice until soft
    3. Heat sesame oil in a large pan or wok
    4. Add chopped garlic, chillies & ginger
    5. Stir in cashew nuts and toast for 2 minutes
    6. Add broccoli and tofu
    7. Stir in spicy satay sauce
    8. Add coriander and serve on bed of rice
